At 52 I was diagnosed with Early Stage Breast Cancer and the support I recieved was lifesaving and after 6 years I believed I was through the hardest part. Then the cancer spread, became metastatic. Metastatic Breast Cancer is considered treatable but not curable. This means that although we do not yet have a cure people can be treated with a variety of different drugs, often for many years. Here is what I've learned; while more people are living with MBC, the support and funding just don't match the need. This is why I am raising funds and awareness for MBCAction Australia Limited.
